    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Avyon’s DT26-X lands in North America in time for AUVSI

May 5, 2015. Montreal, Canada: Avyon is happy to announce that the DT26-X has landed in the North American small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) market. The fixed wing aircraft was manufactured with the need for larger payloads and robust design in mind.

Avyon, the exclusive North American partner for the French manufacturer Delair-Tech is offering the product to all industries that have to date only relied on manned aircrafts to do detailed surveying and mapping. “The possibilities are endless,” said Vivien Heriard Dubreuil, Avyon President. “With the payload capacity of the aircraft combined with the extended flight time, organizations will be able to cut costs in ways that were unimaginable in the past. The DT18 is a tried tested and true product in Avyon’s range of solutions, and the DT26X will add even more capabilities for our customers.”

For the largest aircraft in the Delair-Tech fleet, the DT26-X weighs only about 13 kg, an impressive feat for a lithium polymer battery-powered UAV. The DT26-X will be able to carry up to 2kg in payload while still maintaining speed, endurance and range. The DT18 was the first in the Delair Tech line of UAVs, which offered a lightweight and high endurance solution for the needs of the market, but has a smaller payload capacity. Both the DT18 and DT26 can fly around 2 hours on a single charge at 50km/hrs (about 30 mph).

The robust design of the fixed-wing aircraft assured that it would be able to function in the harshest of environments providing optimal results for surveying and mapping. The 3G/4G and SATCOM telecom abilities in the aircraft will be very versatile and adaptable to different industries.  The DT-launcher will allow users ease in takeoff, and the UAV will be able to complete missions autonomously. Avyon is happy to add the DT26-X to its fleet of solutions for the North American sUAS industry.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Avyon unveils the md4-3000 at AUVSI

May 5, 2015 Montreal, Canada: Avyon has announced that the md4-3000 will make its North American debut at the end of year. The VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) quadcopter is a larger evolution of the popular model the md4-1000 – able to carry a heavier payload and a new aerodynamic design. Avyon will showcase the md4-3000 on May 5th 2015 at AUVSI trade show to experts in the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) industry.

“The md4-1000 was successfully used with DHL and their project for beyond-line-of-sight autonomous deliveries, so we have high expectations for the md4-3000 as it goes into flight testing mode in the next few weeks. The increased payload and range capacity of the md4-3000 will introduce endless possibilities for the North American market including future courier services such as UPS, Fed Ex and Purolator,” said Vivien Heriard Dubreuil, president of Avyon.

Avyon and partner Microdrones GmbH (Germany) are settings production of the md4-3000 in Canada, joining its successful predecessors, the md4-200 and the md4-1000. The Microdrones product family is available to serve the public services sector, such as police, search and rescue teams, fire departments as well as the industrial inspection and mapping community. Surveyors, archaeologists, environmental researchers, and media agencies, will likely benefits from the larger payload while still maintaining extended flight time. The md4-3000 has a capacity of 3kg, which will allow for a new range of sensors.
