Generations Hall
310 Andrew Higgins Dr | New Orleans

Sponsored by: Northrop Grumman

Experience New Orleans’ most famous neighborhoods, fun-loving spirit and mouthwatering treats as AUVSI transforms historic Generations Hall into a one-stop tour of the city. Generations Hall offers a glimpse into a bygone era of New Orleans’ rich history. Originally built in the 1820’s as a sugar refinery, it now showcases artwork by prominent artists George Schmidt and Xavier deCallatay that trace the history of New Orleans proudest export: jazz.

Join old and new friends to experience New Orleans’ unique culture. As you arrive you grab some beignets in the Café du Monde courtyard and head inside to experience Frenchmen Street, the hub of the local music and artist community. Make your way to The Treme, New Orleans’ oldest African-American neighborhood and home to Congo Square, where you might run into the Voodoo Priestess Marie Laveau as she passes out gris gris bags and tells the story of historic women. Next, find your way to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street to experience a live jazz band, human statues, strolling absinthe fairies and much more. Generations Hall is walking distance from many hotels in the AUVSI block. Shuttles will be leaving at 6:30 pm from the hotels listed on the shuttle schedule.
